Vesna Krmpotic, most fruitfull Croatian lady writer, born in historical city of Dubrovnik on June 17th 1932. Graduated psychology and English language on University of Zagreb, and had studied Bengali on university of New Delhi in India. As diplomat's wife, she lived worldwide - in Kairo, Washington, Akra, New Delhi, among other places, and today lives in Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro, with her family. She had published 70 books, of which most renown to wider audience, Hill above the clouds and Bhagavatar, inspired many readers for spiritual seeking and path towards self-realization. She is exceptionally fruitfull writer with hundred more finished manuscripts, writer of exceptional vocabulary, powerfull metaphores, elevated emotions and impressivly deep thoughts. Her books are translated to English, German, Italian, Slovene, Slowakian, Lithuanian and Russian. She received 9 prestigious awards, among them Croatian national award "Vladimir Nazor" for lifetime achievment. Besides poetry, essayes, tales, novels and drama, she is also involved in translating and anthological work.
