Luka Oman is president of the "Friends of Animals" Society for the animal rights and protection, that in four years of its activity had organised over 170 different educational actions and by large made big influence which resulted in the raise of consciousness in Croatia about all forms of animal abuse - from the farm growing, experiments on animals until inhuman treatment of pet animals, and educating people about mentioned issues.
He is one of the founder of the "Friends of Animals" and one of initiators of the animal-rights movement in Croatia, who, by his selfless engagement contributed that the "Friends of Animals" became noticed and respected society even outside Croatia.
He has also directly participated in saving of 32 beagle-dogs which ought to be sacrificed for the illegal experiments to be held at Zagreb Veterinarian Faculty, and he is initiator and the one who has participated in many other campaigns and actions that have echoed within Croatia and abroad.
He was born 1975 in Zagreb, Croatia. He is vegetarian last 15 years, and vegan last 5 years. He has graduated at the School of Nutrition as programmer of balanced nutrition.
